Beginner Classes, Karate Kids and Private Family/ Pod Lessons
BEGINNERS OF ALL AGES MAY START LESSONS AT ANY TIME IF THERE IS AVAILABILITY IN THE DESIRED CLASS
YOUTH TRADITIONAL KARATE ages 8 and up. Traditional karate training includes kenpo basics, okinawan kata, self-defense, personal defense, weapons training and for advanced students, jiujitsu. Japanese counting and the terminology is used in each class. Students should plan to attend 2 classes per week in order to build skills but may attend all classes offered for their age group if desired. Programs for ages 8 and up require a 1 year commitment a fixed tuition divided into 12 monthly autopayments; new students may cancel their membership after the first 30 days if they do not wish to continue. Dress code: Black uniform (GI) purchase on Amazon MONDAY TUESDAY THURSDAY 5:00-5:45
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before each class. Not only are we teaching kids how to be "on time", it is also an important time for students to bond with both other students and their instructors. There is a pre-class playtime that our students often enjoy.
KARATE KIDS ages 5-7 is a program with limited enrollment . Parents may watch Karate Kid classes via a zoom stream; there is no waiting area inside the studio. Students must be willing to remain inside the training area at all times and to participate in class. Make sure your child uses the bathroom prior to arriving. KARATE DROP-IN is a drop-in class for ages 13 and up. This class will include stretching, karate style fitness drills, karate forms, and other exercises that involve the use of various traditional karate objects : staff, sai, kama and more. Curriculum is designed to improve the mind/body connection, gross motor skills, balance, self awareness, flexibility and physical strength. ALL levels of experience and fitness are welcomed. Needs of individual participants will determine class activity. Payment is by debit or credit card on the Mindbody App
Dress code for Karate Fitness : standard style crew neck tee shirt, short or long sleeve. (no low cut, tank, sports bra or camisole style tops) and sweatpants. Yoga pants may be worn with shorts layered on top. Karate uniform is also fine if you have one. Prepare to be barefoot in the studio. MONDAY TUESDAY THURSDAY 6:30-7:15

Subjects to choose from include: traditional karate and kata, self defense techniques, personal safety training, karate weapons training, fitness using martial arts, earning rank or a combination of student interests. Curriculum will be designed specifically for each group.
